Hi Friend!
Just in case we haven't had the chance to meet yet, I'm Jen! I am so glad you are here! Based out of Genesee County, Michigan, I often travel all over the Michigan's lower peninsula. In fact, one of my favorite things to do in this life, aside from capturing special moments and love stories, is to travel to as many places as possible. I also love capturing sunsets, something you will notice in a lot of my images.
Aside from traveling, some other things that bring me joy are loving on my two fur babies (yes, I am totally one of those crazy dog ladies), spending time with family and friends, and being outside & near the water as much as possible. I probably say sorry a little more than necessary and will do anything for the people that I love. For sure, I'm one of those people who can be described as an extroverted introvert, lol. For my entire life, I have been visiting the west coast of Michigan and there is a spot that is my absolute favorite little getaway to just go & get a little recharge when needed.
While I've been taking photos for family and friends for over 20 years, nothing was ever really official. However, in 2019 with the encouragement from close family and friends, I started to take my photography more seriously. As a result, JMarie Photography was officially born. Even though I went to college to become a middle school teacher, and through some crazy decisions have had a successful 15+ year carrier in logistics, I quickly found out that neither of those were my true creative passion. Over time, I have found that one of my favorite & happiest places to be is behind the camera. Being able to use my creativity in a photography space and capture images with a sometimes unique perspective. Nowadays, I am a professional career woman, dog mom, small business owner and photographer.
It has been one heck of a ride these last few years but I am still growing and learning. I am ALWAYS looking for new photographer friends. So my DM is always open. Once again thank you to my loyal clients, you make my world go 'round.
